Real Time Shipping: Buy and Print a Shipping Label

We've integrated with carrier companies like USPS, FedEx, UPS to give your customers real-time shipping rates at checkout. Based on the order weight, package or product dimensions, origin and delivery addresses, shipping costs are determined instantly. Please note: Real Time Shipping is only available for Standard and Advanced plans.

Quick Setup

  • From your admin, go to the side menu and click: Settings > Shipping/Delivery.

  • Find where it says 'Automatic Shipping Rates'.

  • Click the button the right 'Add Carrier'.

  • Within the 'Print Shipping Labels' popup dialog, click 'Connect to Shippo'

  • Follow the instructions given by Shippo to create your account.

  • Edit the carrier settings and enable the new shipping option.

Buying & Printing Shipping Labels

Creating/printing a shipping label requires you to have Shippo account with a credit card on file. If you don't have a Shippo account, you will need to create a new one or you can connect to one you have already. This is a one-time setup process directly within your admin and will happen the first time you create a label.

Ready to ship an order?

When you are ready to print a shipping label, you can visit the order you'd like to ship and click the 'Buy Shipping Label' Button.

This will then open a summary window, where you can check the details and then purchase.

Paying for Shipping Labels

When you buy a shipping label, you will either be charged immediately using the card which we have on file for your monthly subscription or you will be charged by our provider, Shippo, directly via your own account.

After that, print your labels and packing slips and return to the Store page by clicking Done. You'll notice that the order status has been changed to shipped.

The shipping date and tracking information are updated on the order details page. Click Edit to view additional information or, if necessary, refund the label. If you haven't already, you can print the packing slip and label from this page.

Voiding Shipping Labels

If you need to cancel/void a shipping label, you simply need to visit the order and press the 'Void Shipping Label' button.

If you use the platform's default shipping rates, then voiding a shipping label will automatically initiate a refund for the label, minus any associated card fees.

If you use a connected Shippo account (and the label has not yet been used) then no payment would have been made and thus no refund would be required.
