Royal Mail Click and Drop is an online postage and shipping management platform offered by the UK's Royal Mail service.

Using Royal Mail Click and Drop for your e-commerce business can offer several advantages:

Register for Royal Mail Click and Drop:

First you will need to register for an account, you can register as a personal customer or you can register for an OBA account (please note an OBA account may take 10-30 days to set up and you may be required to show that you have been trading for 3 months).

How to enable the API on Royal Mail (RM)

  • Log into your RM account.

  • Click ‘Add new integration’ button/top right.

  • In the modal, change the ‘Integration name’ to: Stor - API

  • Check ‘Use shipping address for billing address’ and hit SAVE.

  • Copy the ‘Click & Drop API authorisation key’

How to enable the feature within Stor

  • Enable the enhancement

  • Visit: Settings > Shipping / Delivery.

  • Enter the ‘Click & Drop API authorisation key’ in the panel shown.

Using it

  • Order is generated in the core.

  • Order show page, at the bottom ‘Shipping/Fulfilment’ click the button ‘Send Order to Royal Mail - Click & Drop’

  • Once pressed, the order details are sent over to Royal Mail

  • RM responds with the corresponding order ID on their side, which we save and display.
