Customer Page

  • Go to your Dashboard and select Customers on the left hand side of your screen. You will see a list of Registered, Guests and Newsletter.

  • Select Registered to see customers who have setup an account on your shop.

Registered Customers

  • By signing up, your customers can checkout faster and have their address details saved, view their order history and their wish list.

  • You can also use their contact details to create a database for newsletter or email campaigns as long as they have consented to receive these. You'll see any customers who have signed up in the Newsletter menu.

  • You can find customers by using the Search box from the relevant Customer Page.
A customer's previous order history can be viewed by clicking through to their detail page; simply click on the person you need to look at.

  • Finally, you can disable the customer's account or block / add to black list. This may be used in cases of suspected fraud, harassment, serial returners, etc.

Using Customer Information

Customer Service

If a customer gets in contact regarding their order it’s crucial that you can pull this information and deal with the issue quickly. Engage with repeat customers and manage the relationship between seller and buyer.

Marketing

Export customer lists by selecting the "Export" button on the right and use the data to create mailing lists for marketing campaigns and newsletters.

Metrics

Export customer data to analyse buying trends. Spot demographics such as where your customers are geographically. Which payment methods are most popular with a demographic, etc.

Utilise this information to inform what decisions you make when running your business.

Data Processing

Remember that if you are processing any personal data of UK or EU Citizens, then you need to be GDPR compliant from the 25th May 2018. You can find more information on the GDPR from the UK's Information Commissioner's Office here or Stor Support for more information.

Customer Screen Details

  • On the top left of the customer detail page you can see the details.

  • To Disable a customer or to block them from seeing and ordering from your shop just click the Enabled drop down and change to Disabled. Then hit Save.

  • You can edit customer details by clicking the Edit button. This will allow you to change the customer's billing and shipping address, name, email, etc.

  • You can also view the customer's order history. Including the payment and shipping status of the order, when it was placed and the total amount and payment method. If you click the View button here you will be taken to that order's detail page.

This is a useful way to find and manage orders when a customer has forgotten their order ID or reference number.

Guest Accounts

This list shows customers who have checked out but have not registered or created an account with you. These are here for your information so that you can quickly differentiate and search for guest checkouts.

You currently cannot edit customer details from this screen or send them newsletters, unless they have subscribed.

You can, however, export their details if needed e.g. if you need to re-platform, etc.

Newsletter subscribers

Here you will be able to see a list of those who have subscribed to your newsletter.

You can export this data and if you have an account with our email marketing service (Stor Broadcast), you can import your newsletter data there.
