Missing Value [image link]
This one is pretty simple to fix. GMC is unable to find an image for your product. Head back to your product page and double check there is an image saved to the product listed.
Missing identifiers [gtin, mpn, brand]
All products sent up to GMC need either a GTIN and Brand OR a MPN and Brand OR none of the above.
A GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) can be a barcode number, Universal Product Code (UPC), ISBN number or European Article Number (EAN).
An MPN is a Manufacturer Product Number.
Each of the above must be valid (Google will check) and must be paired with a Brand Name.
Add a GTIN, MPN or Brand/Manufacturer using Attributes in the Product Edit screen.
Missing Value [gender]
If this warning is showing then it's likely that your product is in the Apparel & Accessories category. Head to the product edit screen and simply add a "Gender" Product Attribute (picture above).
Note that GMC accepts values of either Male, Female or Unisex only.
Missing Value [age group]
If this warning is showing then it's likely that your product is in the Apparel & Accessories category. Again, head to the product edit screen and simply add an "Age Group" Product Attribute.
Note that GMC accepts values of either Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Kids, or Adult only.
Missing Value [color]
If your product falls within the Apparel & Accessories category then a 'Color' is required. This can be added as a variant if you have multiple variants, otherwise add the Colour as an Attribute.
Missing Value [size]
Similarly, if a product is in the Apparel & Accessories category then you need to have a size assigned to it. This can be a shoe size (9, 10 or 43, 45), dress size (8, 12, 16, etc) or a general size e.g. S, M, L, XL.
Processing Failed [additional image link]
This warning can be a number of things but it's likely that either Google has skipped images, an image did not load in time for the Google Bot to index or too many image links have been sent to GMC. Get in contact with our Support Team to help you with this.
Mobile/Desktop Page Not Crawlable Due To Robots.txt
Robots.txt is a small record that stops Search Engines from crawling (looking) at your website. It's common for people who are migrating to a new platform to use Robots.txt to block search engine bots until they're ready to launch. It's also pretty easy to forget to remove this!
If this Error is showing in your Diagnostics page then get in contact with our Support Team who will be able to help you.
Unavailable Desktop Landing Page
Unavailable landing pages is normally due to the product page being Disabled from within your Shop's Admin. Depending upon your settings, this can happen automatically when a product is out of stock.
If this is the case simply wait until you have more stock in and set the product to Enabled again ready for GMC to look at.
Text too short [description] or Text too long [description]
Your product description is included with your Google Shopping feed and of course plays a part in persuading the customer to buy your product. This warning appears when a product description length is too short or too long.
Google suggests that you submit around 500 to 1,000 characters for product descriptions.
