Customers appreciate knowing what to expect when it comes to returns and refunds. A clear policy outlines the procedures and conditions for returning or getting a refund on products, reducing confusion and potential disputes.

To save you time, we have put together a template that you can use but please read through it first and make any necessary changes you wish to make.

Return, Refund & Exchange Policy Template

Thank you for shopping with [Company Name]. We really hope that you enjoy your purchase(s).

However, if you are not entirely satisfied please refer to the following for how to cancel an order, return an item, exchange an item or request a refund.

Cancellation

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulation (CCR) you have the right to cancel an order up to and including the 14th day following delivery to you.

You then have 14 days to return the product to us. We will initiate a refund as per our Refund policy, shown below.

Faulty Goods

We make every effort to ensure our products are as good as they can be. If, you receive something that is faulty then you have certain rights under the CCR including;

Refund or Replacement of the faulty item.

Refund of any shipping costs you may have incurred in returning the item to us.

Returns

If you wish to Return an item purchased, you have 30 days from the date you received it.

To be eligible for return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Your item must be in the original packaging.

Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable except in the case of faulty items.

If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Please note that we are, unless specifically stated, unfortunately unable to accept returns of certain items, including: [Delete as Necessary]

  • Underwear

  • Jewellery

  • Personalised or Bespoke products

  • Perishable items

  • Unwrapped CDs, DVDS or Software

  • Digital Downloads - except in cases of faulty links or failed downloads

  • Event Tickets

  • Newspapers and Magazines

Refunds

Once the item is returned, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your item. We will then notify you on the status of your refund following this inspection.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card or original method of payment.

The time it takes for the funds to be returned to your card depends on each card issuer’s policies.

Exchanges

If you would prefer to exchange your purchased item, rather than a refund then please let us by calling us on [telephone number] or by emailing us on [email address] prior to returning the item.

Store Credit

You have the option of being refunded in Store Credit. If this is your preference then please let us know by calling us on [telephone number] or by emailing us on [email address].
