Your store needs a default currency. This is generally the currency of your home location, but not always. Some shop owners based in countries outside the US, UK, and EU might choose to set the USD, GBP, or EURO as the default currency.
With a default currency as the base, your customers can make payments in their local currency (depending on enabled options, see below), which are then converted into your default currency.
Setting the default currency
Log on to the admin dashboard.
Go to the side menu and click Settings > Currencies.
Click the field at the top of the Currency Settings page and select a default current on the drop-down menu.
Click Save. The Default Currency now displays on your shop front.
Please note: once you have made your first sale, you will need to contact support to change the default currency.
Adding multi-currency options
It's possible to display prices converted from the default currency to the customer's local currency. Activate this feature with the multi-currency tool.
Exchange rates come from Open Exchange Rates and are updated daily.
To display localised currencies:
Go to the Multi Currency Options heading on the Currency Settings page.
Scroll down the list and check the box next to each currency that you want to offer.
Click Save.
The platform adds these options to the drop-down selection box on your shop front.
