Platform users can add, update, and remove product attributes. Attributes are tags that display useful product information. Common attributes include condition, flavour, material, pattern, age group, and gender.
Attributes are useful for several reasons.
They provide detailed product information, which can help nudge buyers to click the BUY button.
Some integrations, such as Google Shopping Feeds, require attributes like GTIN, MPN, Brand, and Age Groups.
Opening the attributes panel
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Click Products > All on the side menu.
Scan the list of items and click a product row,
Scroll down to the Custom Attributes panel.
Adding attributes
Click the New Attribute button.
Click the Name field and select an attribute option on the drop-down menu.
Review the attribute name in the next field. Edit if required
Click Save.
Now add the quality.
In the Custom Attributes box, click the Add another button.
Enter one or more qualities in the field.
Click Save.
Controlling visibility
System users can limit the visibility of each attribute.
In the Custom Attributes box, click the Settings button. A popup window displays.
Optionally, check one or both boxes to show the attribute on the Product Page and the Category Filter page.
To remove the attribute from the Product page, click the Settings button and then Delete Attribute.
Note The display setting determines the attribute's visibility on every product page. It's not possible, for instance, to display the Condition attribute on the Product page (e.g. hat) of one item and hide the Condition attribute on a different Product page (e.g. a coat).
Creating a custom attribute
To create a custom attribute, open the drop-down menu and select an option at the top of the list (e.g. Action, Another Action, or Something else here) and then replace the default text with a different attribute label. Repeat the above steps to add the quality or qualities.
Multiple Attribute Entries
You now have the ability to add more than one attribute entry per attribute option.
All you have to do is add in the attribute and then continue to 'add entry' if you have more than one.
